Abby's First Dance Recital

Here is Abby all dressed up for her 1st dance recital! She did so good! She looked so cute with her curly hair. My own little Shirley Temple! She starts dance again in January....and this time she starts tap as well. :)

Trip to Washington!

Abby had so much fun in Washington. We went to the mall and she got to ride the rides and go on the carousel. She also got to meet Santa and then we went to the Omnimax and saw Polar Express. She also got to feed the ducks and geese and play on the playground twice and then also go see the lights at the Racetrack. Not to mention play with Grandma and Grandpa alot.

First Day of Dance!

I thought I would put Abby in dance classes this year and see if she likes it. This was before her first day in class. She was posing for the camera! It was a tryout day to see if it is something she would enjoy doing. She did really good! It was so cute! It is a little ballet class. She goes once a week for 30 minutes. After we decided to do it....we decided to go get her a leotard and dance shoes. She wears them to her next class. I will take pictures and make sure to post them.

Potty Trained!

Yeah! Abby is finally potty trained! She still has accidents though, but for the most part she has it down. We started to try and train her a couple months ago and she was not having any of that. I tried to put her on the toilet every 20 minutes and reward her with treats when her pants were dry....but she would wait and go in her pants just after she would get off the toilet. I was getting so discouraged. So we decided to wait a couple months and try again. Then when she went to visit my mom, she tried to train her. She only had a couple days though and Abby was still not completely cooperating. Just this past week, Abby got up one morning and took off her diaper and went potty in the toilet. That whole day she wore underwear and did not have any accidents. She would go potty on her own whenever she needed to. I guess she decided when she was ready. :) She still wears a diaper at night, but she is in underwear during the day now. I do not have a baby anymore......

Abby's trip to Utah

Two weeks ago, Abby got to "hitch" a ride with my inlaws and visit with Grandma (my mom) in Utah for the weekend. She had sooo much fun! They played together, painted, did crafts, blew bubbles, ate icecream and much more. I am glad she was able to go and stay with Grandma one more time before they sell the house and move to Washington. Thanks mom!

Swimming Lessons

The past two weeks, Abby had her first swimming lessons. I have to say that I was unsure whether to put her in lessons or not at such a young age. I am glad I did. The first day she screamed the entire time. The second day she fussed but did better. But the third day on, she seemed to really enjoy. We would arrive early and she would always ask "is it my turn?" Now she enjoys going swimming and will even go under water. I plan to enroll her in more lessons in the near future.

OUR SWEET LITTLE GIRL

Abby just turned three years old on June 1st and we do not know where the time has gone. We have enjoyed every day with her. She is such a sweet little girl with such a personality. She loves Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer & My Little Pony. She just got a scooter from Grandma and Grandpa Kramer for her birthday and enjoys riding it on the patio as well as playing in the sandbox out there. She loves her brother and follows him around often. She still jibber jabbers alot and it is so cute, however, she has started to say her words more clearly each day. She is growing up fast. I put her in swimming lessons this summer for the first time. She screamed through the whole first class! She has been adjusting each day and getting better. She doesn't really like getting dunked under water. She can count up to 20 and knows several of her letters and colors and shapes. I think she is going to be a smart one like her brother is. I am so thankful that she is a part of our lives!

Disneyland 2008

We took the kids to Disneyland this past spring. This was Abby's 2nd time, however, she was only 3 months old the first time. It was so much fun to watch her with wide eyes of wonder as she experienced Disneyland and its magic. She went on every single ride we could take her on, but her favorites were Dumbo, the carousel and Small World. We had so much fun! Can't wait to take the kids back again.
